Avanti Brook is a co-educational, community primary school for children aged between 3 and 11 based in Bishop Stortford. Avanti Brook will have over 400 children, including 26 places in its Pre-School classroom.

Welcome to Avanti Brook Primary School, the latest in the development of the Avanti Schools Trust.
We already have several highly successful schools in operation and I am honoured to have been appointed the Executive Principal for Avanti Brook & Meadows Primary and Grange Secondary School.

Learning extends far beyond the traditional classroom boundaries. We offer a rich array of activities designed to enhance students' educational experience and develop their varied interests and talents. From sporting events and music to art clubs and technology, the opportunities are tailored to foster skills such as teamwork, leadership, and creativity. Our aim is for each child to realise their potential and understand their sense of purpose as they move through their educational journey.

Our curriculum immerses students in the powerful knowledge and intellectual conversations of a broad range of subject disciplines, equipping them to make sense of the world around them and to excel in a range of fields. By nurturing students’ sense of identity and perspective, purpose and connection, it creates capacity for informed and conscientious collaboration now and in the future.
Academic Life
Avanti emphasises the importance of mental and physical well-being. Regular yoga and meditation sessions are incorporated into our timetable, helping students cultivate mindfulness and physical fitness as foundational aspects of their lives.
Yoga & Meditation
At Avanti, we care for and respect all life – human, animal, and plant – and strive to live in a way that causes the least possible harm. Students are encouraged to lead on social-action projects, from developing environmental initiatives to working in the local community. A key part of developing this sense of connection begins by getting outside and immersing ourselves in nature. By taking time to build awareness of our environment, we develop a sense of respect, responsibility, and engagement with our local community and beyond.
Outdoor Learning
An important part of our ethos is around the provision of hot, fresh, nutritious meals. Sharing tasty, healthy school lunches is an integral part of the educational experience at an Avanti school.
School Meals
Our school is a dynamic, exciting place to be that, is open to big ideas and creativity all with a genuine focus on student and staff wellbeing. We offer all-through learning across our unique Learning Village, with children having the opportunity of being part of the Avanti Family from Pre-School right up to Sixth Form. We work closely with our other Avanti schools in the local area to ensure a seamless transition from Primary to Secondary education.
